Health Assistance for Women

Cervical Screening has changed now in Australia. The “Pap Test” has been replaced with a new Cervical Screen Test every 5 years. Your GP will tell you how this affects you. Breast examinations are provided, and self-breast examination is taught. It is recommended that all women have an annual breast examination by a doctor and examine her own breast every month.
All women over 50 should have a mammogram every two years which can be arranged by your doctor. Family Planning, iron infusions and contraception advice is available. Implanon insertion is available.

Menopause and Hormone Replacement Therapy advice is also available.
